Afterwards, there is always a wonderful dinner, raffles, trophy presentations and, of course, lots of stories about the day's play. With the help of a lot of friends and family, Andy, Don's son, and his mom, "JoJo" put on a great event to raise money for Don's favorite charities and city programs. It was another awesome day to honor a great man put on by a wonderful family. Congratulations to the Montgomery family and to all who helped make the day such a success.
On May 17th, to the delight of many area residents and business ownders, The Monrovia Days Parade made it's way down Myrtle Ave. on a beautiful and warm Saturday morning. We always look forward to participating in the parade. This year we were asked to drive Mr. Chris Rich, one of Monrovia's school board members, and his family in Debbie's 1959 Series 62 Caddy. It was all good until the parade started and we were ready to go. No Chris Rich and family! It was the first parade we've ever done where our guest of honor didn't show up! That aside, we had a great time visiting with friends and enjoying the day. We want to thank the Monrovia Days Parade committee for including us in the event again this year. Great job, guys and gals!
